Common man in trouble due to rising inflation: Ajit Pawar

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Criticising the ruling BJP over fuel hike, former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said, “Petrol and diesel prices are increasing every day and so does the inflation rate. It has become harder for the common man to survive in such conditions.”

He was in the city on Wednesday and visited Ganesh pandals. Addressing the media at Kesari Wada, he said, “Inflation rate has increased tremendously and common people are facing problems. Adani’s and Ambani’s income is multiplying and poverty is increasing.”

He added, “State income is low and there is no rise in per capita income of the people. Vidarbha and Marathwada are worst-affected. However, the government is playing with statistics and manipulating it. ”

He said, “Ganesh mandal workers should respect the police. They should not violate the law. The government should take action against those workers who are not supporting the police.”
